Attendance
Banham Primary School is committed to providing an education for all its pupils/students and recognises this can only be achieved by supporting and promoting excellent school attendance for all.
This is based on the belief that only by attending school regularly and punctually will children and young people be able to take full advantage of the educational opportunities available to them. High attainment depends on good attendance and support from Parents and Carers to ensure that children attend school regularly.
Admissions
The governing body of Banham Primary School applies the regulations on admissions fairly and equally to all those who wish to attend this school. The School Standards and Framework Act 1998 introduced a new framework for school admissions as of September 2000. This policy conforms to the regulations that are set out in that Act and also further explained in the statutory School Admissions Code of Practice and the statutory Appeals Code of Practice.

Parents and Volunteers
At Banham Primary School we are very fortunate to have a supportive and friendly parent body. We believe that educating children is a process that involves partnership between parents, class teachers and the school community.
There is an information sheet for Parents and Carers who volunteer at the school to hear readers, for example, and as well as our Home-School-Agreement-2017 which we ask all parents to sign each year.
The CEE Trust has also provided us with a Code of Conduct for Parents. The purpose of this policy is to provide a reminder to all parents, carers and visitors to our school about expected conduct. This is so we can continue to flourish, progress and achieve in an atmosphere of mutual understanding.
We can provide copies of these upon request at the school office.
