Safeguarding
Here at Cooperative Education East, we have nurtured a culture where
safeguarding is given the highest priority and pupils are involved in creating a
safe environment to thrive in.
All staff are vigilant and trained to identify when a child might be at risk and
report their concerns following the appropriate procedures. Sometimes, we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies where there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will share our concerns with parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that by doing so, we would be putting a child at risk.
We use appreciative enquiry to explore concerns so we can offer our families
the full support we have available to us.
We have developed a number of policies that contribute to safeguarding at
Cooperative Education East which can be viewed under the 'Parents' section of our website under 'Policies'. Alternatively, please speak to the school office for a paper copy.
